General Summary

 

The HR Generalist / Recruiter plays a dual role in supporting the company’s human resources operations and talent acquisition efforts. This position is responsible for recruiting top talent, administering HR programs, and providing day-to-day support to employees and managers across the telecom organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and enjoy balancing recruiting activity with hands-on HR responsibilities.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

  • HR Generalist Responsibilities
    • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire orientation and exit interviews.
    • Administer HR policies, benefits, and programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
    • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
    • Support employee relations efforts, documenting issues and assisting in investigations when needed.
    • Assist with performance management processes, including evaluations and goal setting.
    • Maintain HR records and ensure data integrity within HRIS and personnel files.
    • Support HR projects such as compensation reviews, engagement initiatives, and training coordination.
  • Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
    • Manage full-cycle recruiting for positions across corporate, technical, and call center functions.
    • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job postings, and develop sourcing strategies.
    • Identify qualified candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, and networking.
    • Conduct initial interviews, coordinate hiring manager interviews, and facilitate the offer process.
    • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) accuracy and compliance.
    • Promote the employer brand to attract and retain talent within the telecommunications industry.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of combined HR and recruiting experience, ideally in telecom, technology, or a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of employment law, recruiting practices, and HR administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday, or similar).
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP and/or PHR/SPRH preferred 

Working Conditions

 

  • Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.
  • Local travel between offices will be required.
