Information Technology Director bei Patterson Health Center

Description

Responsible for overall management of the information systems and support functions for clinical and business systems throughout the organization. Provides workflow analysis, system definition, design, acquisition and implementation of new and modified systems for various hospital departments. Manages vendor activities in conformance to contracts and manages outside consultants and contractors who assist with implementation and support activities.

• Manages daily work activities of the IT department ensuring quality, productivity, functional excellence and efficiency.  
• Provides guidance to staff and responsible for staffing, budget compliance, and coaching appropriate work performance.   
• Assists administration and department managers in accomplishing strategic and operational objectives. 
• Promotes innovation and facilitates the development of an information culture that drives continuous clinical improvement through quality initiatives.
• Serves as the security officer for information systems.  
• Implements training, monitoring and operational initiatives to assure compliance with ethical and legal business practices and HIPAA, regulatory and government regulations.  
• Serves in the on-call rotation with other IT staff for after hours assistance ensuring seamless operations.  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent course of study required
• 7 years' progressively more responsible healthcare information system experience preferred
• 3 years management experience preferred
