About Us

North Carolina Cyber Academy (NCCA) is a public virtual school dedicated to empowering students through innovative, student-centered learning. We are seeking an experienced school psychologist to join our K–5 team in a 10 month part-time or full-time remote role. We offer a competitive salary structure, which is 5% above the North Carolina School Psychologist pay scale as well as a local supplement.

Responsibilities

• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student needs
• Support MTSS implementation as part of school-based teams
• Interpret student data and help develop intervention plans
• Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations (cognitive, academic, adaptive, social-emotional, behavioral)
• Provide individual and small-group counseling as needed
• Offer crisis intervention support as needed
• Deliver staff and parent trainings on topics related to learning and behavior
• Maintain professional development and complete related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Master’s Degree and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) or Sixth-Year Degree in School Psychology
• Valid NCDPI School Psychologist License
• Must live in North Carolina

Preferred:

• Experience conducting virtual assessments
• Experience providing counseling services
• Knowledge or experience with MTSS implementation

Skills

• Knowledge of school law, ethics, and school psychology standards
• Familiarity with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to analyze data and support student-centered decision-making
• Self-directed and able to meet deadlines in a virtual environment
