Job Description:Are you a passionate and experienced Haematology/Oncology Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care? Join our dynamic and supportive team at Epworth Geelong on our 32-bed Medical/Oncology ward, where excellence in care and compassion come together.
About the Role
As a Chemotherapy competent Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, individualised care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. You’ll be part of a comprehensive medical oncology department, working alongside a team that values collaboration, empathy, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering chemotherapy safely and accurately following ADAC/EVIQ protocols
- Monitoring and managing side effects, providing emotional and physical support
- Educating patients and families throughout the treatment journey
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
- Contributing to patient flow and uphold high standards of care
What We’re Looking For
You a strong communicator, you have a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with patients and their families. You enjoy collaborating with team members, with strength in supporting the development and growth of your team by assisting, supporting and educating current Oncology Nurses. You are invested in your career and are seeking to partake in career development pathways.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 4 years’ acute care experience, including oncology
- Chemotherapy competency with current EVIQ/ADAC certification
- Strong clinical knowledge of cancer nursing best practices
- Postgraduate qualifications in Oncology (or working towards – desirable)
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- A compassionate and patient-focused approach

The annual salary for a full time Registered Nurses – AUD $71,622 - $100,564 + super + entitlements depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time)
