Overview
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics is home to the largest laboratory in NH, providing Pathology and Clinical Laboratory services to DHMC & Clinics physician practices, Dartmouth Health system member hospitals, as well as to independent practices and hospitals throughout NH and VT. The Genetic Counselor, as a part of the Lab-Molecular Pathology team, collaborates with clinicians and Clinical Laboratory Scientists to guide test selection, communicate results, and support quality, regulatory, and research efforts within the lab.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week on-site position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Flexibility in working hours is required.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or the equivalent in education and experience required.
- Excellent communication skills required.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed Genetic Counselor NH OR Temp Lic Gen Counselor NH within 14 days
- Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) OR Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC-ABMGG) within 1095 days
- If certified Genetic counselor prior to 1991, certification from the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics required
