We thrive on innovation and the ability to adapt, and we're looking for a New Starter Trainer who can provide an effective and engaging training journey for our new Arrears colleagues.
You'll be responsible for the facilitation of our Arrears new start journey, where you're accountable for developing our new starters capability to ensure they are focusing on getting it right first time and always aiming to support our Customers compliantly with their financial difficulty.
We provide remote working options so are open to applications from across the UK. However, there will be an expectation to attend the Cardiff office when required.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Lead the facilitation of our Arrears New Start Journeys ensuring that our new colleagues develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress
- Leading, motivating & developing our new starters to achieve their best and become a permanent member of our family
- Providing direction, coaching and mentoring our new starters' competency levels so that they meet the standards set out in the competency frameworks to progress to their operational teams
- Track, monitor and ensure that all new starters to Target have completed all elements of the new start journey and have successfully completed all competency assessment activity
- Support the planning, delivery and measurement of New Start learning activity across the business
- Monitor and analysis the effectiveness of the New Start Journeys; making recommendations for continuous improvement
- Proactively identify any potential performance risks and supporting the implementation of performance management when necessary
You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues within the People Team, giving you the opportunity to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

- Able to work well within a team and has a collaborative approach to learning, both face-to-face and remotely
- Personable and able to build strong relationships quickly
- Proactive, enthusiastic and has a creative approach to work
- Committed to improving own knowledge and skills and a passion for continuing learning and development
You're someone who has:
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of our legal, FCA regulatory and ethical requirements
- 12 months experience of training delivery; ideally with new starters
- Financial Service experience, including knowledge of both residential (secured) and consumer products
- Specialist knowledge of Arrears processes and regulatory requirements
OR
- 12 months Financial Servicing experience in an Arrears environment or other regulated industry (e.g. telecoms/utilities)
