Orbus, a leading and highly successful manufacturer and distributor of tradeshow hardware and graphics to the display industry, is seeking an experienced Logistics Associate for our Shipping department. The right candidates will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have previous shipping experience. Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and management of materials and products within the warehouse and manufacturing departments. Key duties include loading and unloading goods, maintaining inventory records, operating machinery like forklifts, and ensuring accurate delivery and storage of materials to support the supply chain and production processes.
Schedule:
2nd shift: Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm schedule with OT as needed.
Competitive pay with additional shift differential.
Core Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Loading and unloading trucks, moving stock to different locations, and preparing goods for production.
- Inventory Management: Conduct inventory counts, document material statuses, and using inventory software to maintain accuracy.
- Machinery Operation: Operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, Combilift and Walker to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Record Keeping: Accurately recording deliveries, transactions, and inventory changes.
- Safety & Organization: Adhering to safety guidelines, keeping work areas clean and organized, and performing quality control checks on materials and equipment.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: The ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive manual tasks.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Equipment Proficiency: Experience with or ability to learn how to operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts.
- Basic Math & Computer Skills: For inventory tracking, data entry, and record keeping.
- Teamwork: The ability to work effectively with other team members and supervisors.
