The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional responsible for key operational accounting duties, including month-end close process, reconciliations, and maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role requires extensive experience with NetSuite, a strong background in a U.S. public company environment, and experience with SOX controls.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the month-end close process, including drafting and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and managing the cash posting process.
 - Assist with determining and recording capitalized software development costs.
 - Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
 - Provide support to address internal and external audit requests and inquiries.
 - Perform and document internal controls to support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.
 - Draft and maintain standard operating procedures for key accounting processes.
 
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
 - Extensive experience with NetSuite.
 - In-depth knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP).
 - Demonstrated experience in an operational accounting role with proficiency in areas such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and cash posting.
 - Ability to anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
 - Delivers high-quality service; is committed to continuous improvement.
 - Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
 - Proven experience working with a U.S. publicly traded company.
 - Experience with SAP Concur and AuditBoard is a plus.
 - Experience in other areas of accounting (i.e., accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, etc.) is a plus.
 - Proven ability and willingness to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements is highly desirable.
