OPTIM MEDICAL CENTER TATTNALL is seeking a full time Financial Counselor for the Reidsville, GA location.

Primary Duties: • Provides face-to-face financial counseling for patients, notably uninsured/under-insured patients.
• Facilitates patient connection with all other resources that may be available.
• Performs analysis of billing process to determine what if any amount is patient responsibility and collects payment prior services being performed.
• Provides optimum customer service.
• Performs follow-up work on uninsured/under-insured patients scheduled for surgeries in order to resolve their financial responsibility prior to services being rendered.
• Pull and work surgical report from Athena daily
• Update patient and insurance info in Athena as needed. Contact patient or insurance company or appropriate Optim representative - Utilize OH accounts for updated insurance information to update OO accounts with updated insurance packages
• Enter surgery order info into Rivet for estimate completion. Utilize fee schedule in Athena if allowable is not in Rivet
• Email and text patient surgical estimate cost forms
• Upload estimates into patient charts
• Add surgery prepayment plan in Athena
• Contact patient to collect surgical deposit
• Complete all GFEs, Good Faith Estimates
• Complete email requests from clinical staff for surgical estimates and costs
• Answering all incoming calls
• Assist with surgical appointments as needed
• Non-covered service waivers and ABNs-procuring signatures and collecting cost prior to service
