PIM is a proprietary patent product used in buckling restraint systems. Installers perform a variety of tasks in the installation process including cutting, bundling to brace material, installing into brace, and brace fill.
The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Know and perform all phases of the creating and assembling the proprietary material
- Perform all tasks maintaining high quality and required quantity
- Be familiar with and able to efficiently operate all equipment and tools in the process
- Cut proprietary material into pre-determine sizes and shapes
- Cut groves, slots and edges using various tools
- Assemble material to fabricated steel members for insertion into braces
- Insert assembly into braces
- Ensure all pieces fit properly and meet required specifications
- Work in a team situation
- Perform other duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Prefer High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Attention to detail; able to maintain production and inventory reports;
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, if necessary, with co-workers, maintenance, supervisors, and inspectors.
- Capable of working in a high paced environment.
- Be able to make accurate measurements
- Use hands frequently in each process
- Be able to perform repetitive tasks
- Experience using cutting machines, saws, cutting tables, etc. is a plus
- Must be dependable, reliable, and mature enough to handle equipment in a safe and sensible manner.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Ability to work for extended hours in a physically challenging environment. Must be physically fit.
