As a Personal Care Assistant, your goal is to provide care for our residents in our state-of-the-art Assisted Living facility. You will be helping them with daily living such as using the toilet, bathing, and washing, dressing, serving food, medication reminders, etc.

This opportunity is a full-time, union eligible position. Westminster Village is seeking an individual available for 1st shift (6a-2:30p) including every other weekend and some holidays. With 64 hours per pay period. Westminster offers a competitive wage with an annual increase. The wage scale for this position is $17.26 to $19.26 an hour. Apply now for immediate consideration!
Job Duties:
- Promote resident independence and choice.
- Assist with meal service and table clean up after meals when needed.
- Provide residents assistance with activities of daily living.
- Monitor resident self-administration of medication as indicated on resident service plan.
- Medication reminders for residents if indicated on resident service plan.
- Assist residents in completing menus for meals.
- Document care daily.
- Provide housekeeping services including laundry, making beds, empty garbage, stocking of supplies.
- Knowledgeable regarding emergency and disaster procedures as described in policies, including the location and use of firefighting equipment and alarms.
- Assist with transportation of residents, pushing wheelchair.
- Assist residents with toileting as needed.
- Perform incontinence care as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment, assuring resident safety and security.
- Attending educational meetings planned for this position.
- Provide services to residents as indicated on their individual service plan and report changes in the resident’s condition or needs to the Assisted Living Leader.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Current CPR certification is required. One year of experience working with geriatric people preferred.
