Position Summary

The Business Analyst acts as the crucial liaison between internal stakeholders of the agency and theBI department. This role is deeply focused on customer success, ensuring that BI solutions maximizevalue and are oriented towards the strategic initiatives of the organization. The BI Analyst willchampion a data-driven culture by working closely with stakeholders to understand their workflows,gather clear requirements, and translate them into actionable insights for the technical team. Theideal candidate is an exceptional communicator and a curious, analytical thinker, driven to not onlymeet current needs but also to anticipate future opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, leading discovery sessions to understand business processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, distilling complex needs into clear, concise user stories and functional specifications for the BI Team
  • Guide stakeholders to identify the core business problem and ensure that technical solutions are aligned with strategic goals.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases and user acceptance criteria to ensure the quality, accuracy, and functionality of BI solutions.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing support to stakeholders, and documenting feedback and required changes.
  • Manage the release of new BI products, including coordinating stakeholder communication, leading training sessions, and creating supplemental documentation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing business processes and BI tools through data analysis and a deep understanding of operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), helping to mature the analytical capabilities of the agency.
  • Facilitate meetings, lead training sessions, and present to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex business workflows and technical procedures into clear business correspondence, user guides, and procedure materials.
  • Actively manage the progress of BI projects by defining scope, tracking milestones, and facilitating communication between stakeholders and the BI team to ensure alignment with project plan and development lifecycle.
  • Respond to and resolve BI-related helpdesk requests in a timely manner.

Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration,
  • Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role, preferably within a data-centric or technical environment.
  • Proven experience with requirements elicitation, business process modeling, and writing functional specifications.
  • Experience in developing test plans and leading user acceptance testing (UAT) is required.
  • Familiarity with BI concepts and tools (such as Power BI) and query languages (SQL) is highly desirable but not essential.


Work Environment & Expectations

  • Full-time, salaried position (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM), with flexibility as needed.
  • May require after-hours availability and occasional travel.
  • Office and clinical environments; occasional exposure to clinical materials.
  • Must have a dedicated, interruption-free workspace suitable for phone and vide communications.
  • This position may require the ability to lift, move, or reposition equipment and/or objects. Tasks may be performed independently or with assistance from team members or appropriate devices.
