$17.50/hour with a $500 bonus at the end of the season for strong performance and attendance. Be part of a fun, fast-paced seasonal team with steady work through mid-November. Position Description:

The Warehouse Product Pre-Packer breaks down large sacks of seeds into the quantities in which they are sold. Items are either packaged by hand or with the use of a packaging machine.

• This job requires standing during the majority of the shift and lifting up to 50lbs
• Fast-paced environment, must work with a sense of urgency and be willing to learn
• Must be a self-starter and able to complete tasks/deadlines without direct supervision
• The ideal candidate will have some experience in a warehouse environment. 
• Must have experience with various computer programs and a good working knowledge of computers and tablets.

Daily Tasks:

• Prioritize products to be pre-packed according to instruction from Production Manager or Pre-Packing Team Leader
• Examine item contents and compare with records within our inventory program to verify accuracy
• Label packets and bags with the appropriate product name to be packaged
• Place or pour products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment, or fill containers from spouts or chutes.
• Load products into processing equipment or weigh by hand, using a scale
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.
• Once all products are packed, you may be asked to pack products to assist with other duties, such as restocking shelves, counting inventory, light cleaning, etc.
• Seal bags using a heat sealer and check to ensure the seal is secure
• Count the completed items and enter packaged items into stock using our inventory software on a tablet
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas before moving to next product
• At the end of the day, return the tablet and ring scanner to correct area to charge them

Requirements

 Computer skills required:

• Basic Navigation - Using scroll bars, a mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the computer or tablet’s operating system. Being able to access and switch between applications and files of interest.
• Inventory Software- Using a computer application to manage inventory by editing information, inputting data and retrieving specific records.
