Responsibilities:Safety Coordinator 2nd Shift responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting management in meeting Safety Goals
- Assisting management in the implementation and compliance with all Safety rules and OSHA Regulations
- Monitoring production employees and supervisors to ensure all safety procedures are being performed adequately and in accordance with plant policies
- Facilitating Safety Committee
- Developing and enforcing Occupational Safety Policies
- Directing accident investigation procedures
- Keeping records of safety data
- Intervening in unsafe activities or operations
- Conducting ongoing safety training for all plant employees
- Setting a good example regarding safety and all other plant polices
- Other duties as assigned
This is an on-site position. This is a safety sensitive position.
Qualifications:Qualified candidates for the 2nd Shift Safety Coordinator position should possess the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Strong work ethic and eye for detail
- Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic computer skills
- Available to work evening and night shift hours
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
