GROUP LEADER - PRODUCTION bei ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions

TITLE: Group Leader - Converting                                         PAY PLAN: Hourly

SHIFT: Third Shift - Sunday through Thursday 11:00PM to 7:00AM

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Directly supports the shift with performance and leadership on the production floor in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensure safe and efficient production operation during shift. 

WORK PERFORMED:

• Provide technical and physical assistance in the side seal bag making department.
• Assist in scheduling staffing for regular and overtime situations.
• Designate responsibilities to operators including line, order schedule and special customer requests.
• Maintain quality standards by checking, rechecking and authorizing final approval on all orders produced.
• Evaluate training/performance progress of employees through consultation with supervisor, trainer, etc.
• Initiate and follow-up requests for maintenance repairs.
• Complete shift paperwork and reports as required. 
• Coordinate production with press area, scheduling, customer service.
• Performs basic supervisory function in supervisor's absence.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

• Able to operate and troubleshoot all equipment in division.
• Determine supplies needed and order when necessary.
• JDE & WEBEFF knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Capable of, and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and ISO procedure
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Good mathematical skills.
• Continuous learning will be expected
• Able to work overtime as required
