The job:

As our Panel Fabricator, you will be fabricating parts that will be used to build control panels that keep our business alive. These control panels control the movement of water to cities, municipalities, and homes for our water and wastewater industry clients. You will be responsible for fabricating custom panels, back plates, inner doors, and brackets, along with cutting, forming , and creating openings for mounting components on the enclosures per layout. Every day you will cut, bend, file, tap, and punch holes in aluminum and in mild-steel and stainless-steel control panels. You will do some assembly work such as mounting and labeling of components as needed.

The skills, education, and experience you need:

To succeed in this role, you must have experience with:

• Metal fabrication consisting of drilling, punching, tapping, cutting, etc.
• Using power tools such as jig saws, power drills and grinders
• Reading a tape measure and following layout drawings and some schematics
• Using a metal shear, break, nibbler, and hydraulic punch preferred, but not required
• Driving a forklift, preferred but not required

A 2-year degree in construction, carpentry, or similar field and 1-2 years of experience are required.
