Logistics Activity Coordinator Job (Axis (Mobile), AL, United States) bei Arkema

This is a temporary assingment for a Logistics Coordintor who will report to the logistics supervisor.  Get your foot in the door with a global company that is growing and gain valuable experience during this assignment.

The job holder is responsible for utilizing Arkema standard processes and technologies to manage material movement including raw materials and finished goods within a chemical manufactuting site.    The position is expected to organize and align personnel and resources to maximize efficiencies.  The coordinator seamlessly handles three business units with differing needs, utilizes two different erm systems and interfaces with our external warehouse.  Responsibilities include:

• Pulling open orders from SAP and Oracle and commuincation orders and shipping arrangement to operators, shift leaders and warehouse personnel
• Uses same reports to contact carriers to set up a pickup schedule
• Reviews previous day shipping log and communicates open items to warehouse and customer service groups
• Addresses open orders for third party on-site manufacturer on a daily basis
• Works effectively with supply chain organization to solve problems and meet performance goals for customer satisfaction
• Escalates problems to customer service and demand planning to efficently solve
• Completes and processes all paperwork for shipments in SAP/Oracle

The successful candidate will have:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year experience (chemical manufacturing preferred)
• Knowledge of SAP or Oracle
• Excellent communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Ability to influence others without formal authority
• Ability and desire to learn new skills
