Founded in 1863 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, ‘Iolani School is an Episcopal day and boarding school in Honolulu, Hawai'i enrolling approximately 2,300 students on its K-12, 25-acre urban campus. 

‘Iolani School seeks a Temporary Upper School Chinese Language Teacher for the Spring Semester of the 2025-26 school year. The Spring Semester spans from January 20, 2026 through June 4, 2026. 

Candidates should have experience teaching Chinese 1 (introductory level) to Chinese 5 (advanced level). In addition to being active participants in our vibrant learning community, we are looking for educators who will inspire and support our students. The ideal candidate is dynamic, a strong communicator (both written and oral) and committed to professional growth in their discipline and teaching practice. 

An advanced degree in Chinese language is preferred.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate native or near-native competence in Chinese and be comfortable designing and executing curriculum as part of a teaching team while embracing the use of instructional technology.
