The DVP, Procurement is accountable for category management, sourcing strategy and the procurement process for multiple procurement spend categories.
JOB SUMMARY:
The DVP, Procurement will play a crucial role in our organization, serving as the lead individual contributor for all large value contracts. This role is not only about managing the current procurement processes but is also geared towards innovatively driving savings and improving terms that align with our strategic goals.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
- Serves as the company's lead negotiator on major procurement deals, employing expert level negotiation tactics to secure favorable terms and substantial savings
- Proactively identifies opportunities for cost savings, quality improvements, and more favorable contract terms
- Oversees multiple procurement projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget
- Coordinates, reviews, and oversees all large value contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Works closely with business owners and other internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs, provide recommendations, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives
- Directly manages and mentors a Procurement Director, fostering their growth and ensuring alignment with departmental goals
- Drives innovative procurement solutions and methodologies that challenge the status quo and bring about substantial value to the organization
- Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates
- Bachelors Degree
- 5-10 years of related experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years experience in procurement or a related field, with a proven track record of handling large value contracts
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and contract management
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams
- Proficient in procurement software and tools
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to identify and act on new opportunities swiftly
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and with senior leadership
- Proven ability to work independently, multi-task and deliver reliable and accurate work product with minimal supervision and under high pressure and tight deadlines
- Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
