SUMMARY
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable distribution of materials and
equipment within the telecommunications industry. This role applies analytical, scientific, and mathematical
principles to design, implement, and optimize logistics processes that support the company’s installation and
construction initiatives. The Logistics Manager ensures that all logistics operations align with internal customer
requirements, contractual commitments, and regulatory standards, while driving operational efficiency, cost
savings, and sustainability.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assure that materials and equipment are staged and/or distributed in the most efficient and cost-
effective manner to maximize profitability and adhere to project timeframes.
· Provide suggestions for logistics technologies and solutions that enhance support for warehouse
operations and KPI tracking.
· Review contractual agreements and business requirements to determine logistics needs, including
facilities, safety, and maintenance planning.
· Design, analyze, and continuously improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
in product distribution.
· Evaluate current methods of distribution and implement process improvements to streamline
operations and reduce costs.
· Advise senior management on logistics strategies, risks, and opportunities, presenting data-driven
recommendations for continuous improvement.
· Assess environmental and energy impacts of logistics operations, evaluate alternatives to reduce
environmental footprint, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
· Manage inventory, oversee order processing, and plan warehouse layouts to optimize capacity,
throughput, and efficiency.
· Collaborate with product teams on packaging design to maximize ease of kitting and shipping
efficiency .
· Develop and monitor performance metrics, report KPI achievements monthly to leadership, identify
areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Direct and mentor the work of Logistics team members and other support staff to achieve
departmental and organizational goals.
· Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop training programs for warehouse staff
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
preferred.
· 3+ years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, preferably
within telecommunications, technology, or related industries.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proven ability to optimize logistics
networks.
- Proficiency with logistics management systems, ERP software, and data analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, order fulfillment, transportation, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional projects and direct staff.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainable logistics practices. Preferred Skills
- Advanced knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making.
- Experience with budget management and cost control. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
