Dishwasher/Prep Cook (Night Shift) | Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84104
Hourly Pay: $17 per hour plus differential pay| Full-Time
Schedule: Saturday-Wednesday, 5pm-1am

Job Summary
Join our culinary team as a Dishwasher/Prep Cook, where your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness help fuel a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. In this dual role, you’ll ensure the kitchen stays spotless while supporting chefs with essential food prep tasks. Whether you're washing dishes, chopping ingredients, or stocking stations, your work directly contributes to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced, professional environment. What You'll Do
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing systems.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including sinks, floors, and trash stations.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling cold items.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during meal service and cleanup.
- Ensure all dishes meet company standards for taste, appearance, and timing.
- Restock supplies and organize storage areas.
- Notify management of unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
- Build rapport with guests while representing Thomas Cuisine’s values.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
What You Will Bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- Passion for cooking and learning new techniques
- Strong understanding of cleanliness and food safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and solid organizational skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Valid ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handler Card
- Must pass background check
- Authorized to work in the U.S.; E-Verify participation required
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
