Leadership functions

  • Ability to Master and perform all core lighting installation techniques (wiring, fixture mounting, control systems, case lighting) and problem-solve as issues arise in the field.

  • Understand and follow NEC (National Electrical Code) and local codes. Carry the code book on hand to be able to refer to as needed.

  • Knowledge to quickly troubleshoot issues on-site to allow the installation crew to remain productive.

  • Required to stay current on all new lighting technologies and lighting control systems (LED, smart controls, energy-efficient systems).

  • Must possess a willingness to learn and embrace new lighting and mechanical control systems.

  • Curious about Energy Management Systems, particularly in the grocery retail sector (EMS).

  • Maintain a positive attitude every day. The Crew lead must set the mental standard for any crew that he manages or oversees.

  • Reports to the Director of Service Operations. Weekly meeting with the Director of service operations for progress updates, improvements, or issues that might have occurred each week.

Travel/Work shift conditions

  • This is a hands-on job that requires site visits to perform work and potentially manage crews.

  • Expected to travel as needed to many areas outside your home region. Large concentration of jobs in the Mid-Atlantic (East Coast) as well as some jobs in regions that include NC, SC, FL, TX, LA, IL, and the West Coast.

  • Ability to travel for longer periods of time, if needed; some travel will only be 4-5 day weeks.

  • Time-off allowances will be given when an employee returns home for any work travel that exceeds 8 days. Allowances will increase as the duration on the road increases for longer stints of travel.

  • This job is a combination of day and night work. We will work as hard as possible to have transition days between day and night jobs if the work occurs in succession.

  • Desire to finish a job in a given region while in that geography.

Safety First
