The Contracts Lead II is responsible for managing a portfolio of supplier agreements and new procurement requests, ensuring efficient and effective purchasing of goods and services. This position focuses on driving business value, ensuring on-time delivery, and optimizing procurement cycle times. Operating with moderate supervision, the Contracts Lead II plays a key role in negotiating supplier terms, maintaining contract compliance, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. This role is ideal for a seasoned procurement or contracts professional with a strong understanding of purchasing processes, risk mitigation, and supplier relationship management.
Responsibilities:- Negotiate contract pricing, terms, and conditions directly with suppliers.
- Manage end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (PtP) processes in full compliance with internal policies and systems.
- Maintain and update contract documentation including scopes of work, pricing, exhibits, and amendments.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract compliance; troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Leverage procurement tools and systems to ensure transactional efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for business value and cost savings within your portfolio.
- Provide fit-for-risk process improvements and support continuous optimization efforts.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships to meet business needs.
- Share market insights and contribute to category strategy and commercial guidance.
- Strong contract negotiation and management abilities.
- Working knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (PtP) systems and procurement best practices.
- Ability to handle complex contracts and supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing compliance and internal control requirements.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug test, MVR, and fit for duty/agility test.
- Familiarity with CIMS (Controls Integrity Management System) and sourcing handbooks preferred.
- Experience working with high-value or high-complexity contract portfolios preferred.
