Parents And Children Together provides afterschool drop-in centers for youth ages 7-18 who live in and around two public housing complexes, Kuhio Park Terrace and Puuwai Momi in Halawa. These programs promote the development of healthy youth, families and community with an abundance of positive experiences for youth and family members including educational, recreational, community building and support services. Services, activities and hours may vary by site.
The Program Supervisor supervises the delivery of voluntary culturally appropriate and strengths-based development of healthy youth and families by providing educational, recreational, community building and support services. This position communicates frequently with community partners, other supervisors, funders, and families. This position provides supervisory support and guidance that fosters a team-based approach to delivering services that represents the agency in youth development related events and advocacy issues. The Program Supervisor will also provide onboarding training and mentoring support to new T.R.Y Center staff in partnership with the Program Director and Site Supervisors. This position is under the direct supervision of the Program Director.
Essential Duties
1. Behave in a manner that supports the agency's mission and follows personnel policies and procedures.
2. Coordinate and ensure appropriate delivery of center-based services that promote the development of healthy youth, families, and community to include educational, recreational, community building, and support services to moderate at-risk youth ages 5-18 years and their families. Monitors the quality of services to all clients and families through supervision, case reviews, observation of service delivery and ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness and outcome measures.
3. Provide leadership to program staff and assume all the responsibilities of a supervisor for the staff that report directly to this position, including orienting and training staff. Works with staff and families to resolve any concerns regarding services.
4. Provide onboarding training and mentoring support to new T.R.Y Center Staff and in collaboration with the Program Director, will create and maintain an ongoing training plan for Supervisors and Staff that is aligned with program goals and objectives.
5. Ensure that the programs are operating in a manner consistent with standards and guidelines established by funders, state law and the policies and procedures of the agency and tracks the timely and accurate completion of forms and assessments. Reviews and assigns intake of youth and families to the team.
6. Ensure that program objectives are met, including funder reports and fiscal requirements, are submitted in a timely manner to the Program Director.
7. Provide direct services to clients as needed, such as those families for whom the center staff needs additional support; in conducting parent involvement, activities, and events; in the absence of the Site Supervisor or times when there are vacancies, or a staff member is on leave.
8. Maintain effective working relationships with funders, collaborators, and state agencies, other appropriate providers that promote and support the development and engagement of healthy youth and their families, including related coalitions and networks, task forces, and attending required trainings and meetings, as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution required, plus minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience working with youth and families.
2. One (1) year previous supervisory experience that shall include, but not limited to, individual staff, volunteer, program effectiveness, and outcome measures, required, with proven ability to train, coach and mentor fellow supervisory team members.

1. Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
2. Has daily access to an automobile.
3. Possess and maintain proof of no-fault insurance.
4. Able to obtain an acceptable driver’s abstract upon initial hire and annually thereafter.
5. Can obtain an acceptable Fingerprint (FBI) Background Check upon initial hire and as requested.
6. Can obtain a State Criminal History check upon initial hire, one year later, and every other year thereafter or as requested.
7. Can obtain an acceptable National Sex Offender registry check at initial hire, one year later and every other year thereafter or as requested.
8. Can obtain an acceptable CWS child abuse registry check at initial hire, one year later and every other year thereafter or as requested.
9. Must have a cell phone for use in emergencies at off-site location.
