Role Summary
Commercial Quality enables the Commercial Business and Chief Marketing Office (CMO) to innovate and operate by providing consultancy, risk-based controls, and oversight to embed quality in user-centric, end-to-end business processes.
The CQ Manager is accountable for the flawless execution of CQ services to enable Pfizer’s local Commercial business to manage risk and ensure quality through partnerships and relationship management with a focused market perspective.
The CQ Manager is a subject-matter expert that enables Commercial colleagues to implement and execute commercial activities (e.g., Promotional Material) embedding quality and risk mitigations whilst identifying emerging risks. They provide consultation, guidance, and direction on matters of promotional content review and approval inclusive of process, systems (e.g GCMA, Adobe MLR) , and efficiency. The CQ Manager drives a quality culture in accountable market(s), enabling commercial activities to be compliant and representing CQ in applicable local governance processes and oversight activities
What You Will Achieve
You will be a key member of the Commercial Quality International Markets (CQIM) Team and will partner with colleagues and teams across Commercial and Medical, Country Business Partner to operationalize key Content Review, and Approval services in Australia and New Zealand.
The role presents an excellent opportunity to gain Commercial Quality experience working with the ANZ Sales and Marketing teams to support the delivery of marketing campaigns and CMO and Global Commercial Excellence and Enablement (GCEE) initiatives.
The CQ Manager role will expose you to the review and approval side of content creation and you will be given the opportunity to represent ANZ market on global initiatives, including the transition from GCMA platform to Adobe MLR. You will work with colleagues in your own market and also be part of the global CQ team.
How You Will Achieve It
Quality Consulting
Act as single point of contact and subject-matter expert on commercial quality (specifically Review and Approval of Promotional Material) for Commercial colleagues for their accountable markets
Enable commercial customers to design and execute commercial activities embedding compliance and quality requirements through design, development, approval, execution, and close-out of in-scope commercial activities (e.g. promo material, programs, tools, local requirements where implemented)
Serves as subject matter expert on compliant review and approval of Pfizer Content through Process /Procedure/Support Tools (e.g., internally known as GCMA system), Content Policy local Addendum alignment.
Provides reviews & approval workflow management (e.g., enhancing Processes with reviewer/ Medical and Marketing colleagues).
Provides oversight and reporting of Content Review & Validation.
Drive CMO initiatives at market/s including assessment of Market Repository Requirements as part of Adobe deployment.
Market Oversight and Governance
Accountable for updating and maintaining select local market requirements and control documents
Collaborate with ARQO Team on Promotional Material related Quality Events, audit findings and remediation (root cause analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action – CAPA- development) for assigned market(s)
Monitor and impact assess changes to local regulations for in-scope quality areas in collaboration with relevant stakeholders (e.g., compliance, legal, safety, regulatory and digital)
Identify and train best practices across review/approval landscape and participate in projects within the Review & Approval global vertical to evolve process, systems and policy.
Support re-use of content (e.g. Global content) to maximize efficient delivery
Supporting the wider CQ function
Promote collaboration across the CQ community and exchange best practices and thought leadership across markets
Support assigned local, regional, and global CQ initiatives
Accountable for local implementation of regional and global CQ initiatives and for assuring these will meet local business needs
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate collaboration with Commercial stakeholders and business partners (e.g., Marketing, Legal, Digital, Safety, Regulatory, Medical, Privacy, Compliance) to ensure effective end-to-end support for commercial initiatives and large-scale priority projects
In collaboration with other stakeholders provide guidance to help Commercial colleagues compliantly use emerging digital tools and channels
Drive awareness and upskilling of key market stakeholders to increase understanding of CQ policies and processes and enhance quality & compliance
Deliver training and CQ awareness to commercial colleagues and contractors (as needed)
Act as change agents to help build internal and external alignment during transformation
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience preferably in pharmaceuticals, brand marketing, sales or operations in ANZ
Strong written and oral communication skills with focus on issue understanding and resolution
Understand the fundamentals of the pharmaceutical industry and promotional practices
Experience of working across cultures and multiple time zones
Ability to work on multiple tasks independently
Understand the fundamentals of drug safety and risk management
Delivery of exceptional customer services and experiences
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):
Working knowledge of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and Medicine New Zealand Code of Practice
Experience in a commercial role or proven ability to live in the shoes of Commercial and Medical affairs colleagues
Demonstrated ability to innovate and take appropriate risks to advance innovative processes
Solid knowledge of content Review and Approval process (e.g., internally known as GCMA system)
Solid knowledge of global/local content policies
Knowledge of pharmaceutical market and relative business levers together with regulatory/compliance aspects
Possesses a deep understanding of business landscape in ANZ and TA (Therapeutic Area) strategies to determine key priorities and their impact on Review & Approval activities
