POSITION SUMMARY
The ISE Specialist is responsible for managing the entire appointee process per established guidelines and policies using sound judgment and decision making. Includes but is not limited to authorizing expenses, performing accounting and human resource functions, provision and collection of necessary documents, counseling appointee with concerns pertaining to the appointment, arranging for travel, processing of appointee salary and allowances, liaison with all divisions on salary and matters pertaining to the relocation.

- Full - time hourly position with benefits
- Remuneration: Grade 7 ($27.62 - $38.77)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Serves as Relocation Manager for International Service Employees (ISEs)during initial call/transfer process may include – ensuring completion of required paperwork, conducting reference checks, preparing committee actions, identifying base division country, authorizing payments; coordinating spouse employee assignments, logistics, and/or conveying information to employing institutions regarding salary, benefits, allowances and expenses such as preembarkation, visas, retirement, dependent children, language study, attendance at Institute of World Mission, etc.
- Authorizes, calculates, and/or coordinates payment of appointee salary items and allowances, Spouse Loss of Income Subsidy, expense reports, salary transfers and base division pay in accordance with policy.
- Notifies employing organization and base division of ISE arrival and hire/infield date and ISE Payroll Specialist when to begin payroll payments.
- Serves as liaison with counterparts in divisions/organizations during all phases of relocation process.
- Authorizes ISE Shipping Specialist to begin working on the shipment of household items.
- Coordinates and authorizes payment of visas, work permits, passports, customs regulations, immunization needs, consular services, itineraries and purchase of air tickets:
- Ensures that appointee receives information and documents in a thorough and timely manner.
- Routes and prepares appointee-related journal vouchers.
- Reconciles expense, clearing and other assigned accounts.
- Assists with policy revisions and implementation.
- Develops processes and procedure guidelines
- Trains and orients division personnel as needed.
- Serves on boards and committees as assigned.
- Serves as backup to other members of the Appointee Team, as arranged by mentor/team leader.
- Participates in cross-training for other IPRS positions, as arranged by Supervisor.
- Ensures all documents and information are filed according to established procedures.
- Must be a member in regular standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Must maintain a regular and reliable attendance schedule
- Performs other duties as assigned.
