An internship with American Family Insurance is a great opportunity to build your skillset and explore your career interests. Our summer student internship is a 10 to 14 week program that starts in mid to late May and ends in August. During your internship, you'll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities. You'll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching.

Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an AmFam office location.

Compensation Minimum: $25.00
Compensation Maximum: $39.00

As a B2B Gateway intern, you will work with a team of software developers and business folks to innovate and map processes to increase the speed at which the team can deliver to important partners. You will learn about the insurance industry and niche technologies.

Responsibilities
• Develop an understanding of our business, corporate culture and structure to support your work.
• Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
• Assess processes and proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes. Leverage Generative AI staying within the enterprise guidelines.
• Maintain & update existing process documentation

Requirements
• Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2026 or later.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
• Major/program must align with internship role.
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Must be curious and driven.
• Knowledge of software development, coding and/or testing

Work Location:
This role may be considered for a Full-Time in Office or Hybrid work arrangement based on the selected candidate's location. Work locations for this role include Boston, MA.
