Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Financial Accounting, is responsible for leading global financial operations related to Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) revenue, corporate cash management, and finance transformation initiatives. This role oversees reconciliation processes, ensures compliance with SOX and statutory requirements, and drives automation and scalability across financial systems. Success requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic oversight across international markets and DTC businesses.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain automated payment reconciliation processes within SAP S/4 BRIM, Frontier, and other financial systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit compliance.
  • Oversee global Sales-to-Cash reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate and timely revenue transaction matching, while proactively resolving variances to prevent revenue leakage and compliance risks.
  • Support financial readiness for new product launches, platform transitions, and store openings by coordinating across internal business units, Shared Services, IT, and third-party payment providers.
  • Partner with payment platform providers to ensure accurate processing, timely settlement, and seamless system integration.
  • Monitor and evolve reconciliation logic and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain Open Item Management structures for cash-in-transit and unallocated cash accounts to ensure visibility and accurate reconciliation of outstanding transactions.
  • Develop and maintain cash management reporting tools to track positions, aging of unallocated items, and reconciliation status.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and SOX/internal audit standards through accurate financial records and robust controls.
  • Oversee completion and accuracy of bank and balance sheet reconciliations performed in CARS, ensuring alignment with SOX controls and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Controllership, and regional finance teams to support daily operations and strategic cash initiatives.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure operational excellence and career growth.
  • Build strong partnerships with global stakeholders across Shared Services, Controllership, Treasury, and IT to align financial processes and resolve escalations.
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation across reconciliation and cash management operations.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-geography partnerships.
  • Champion finance transformation initiatives, leveraging technology and scalable solutions to support growth.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in financial accounting, cash management, and reconciliations, with supervisory experience required.
  • Experience with cash and banking operations, including reconciliations, cash sweeps, and FX adjustments.
  • Prior experience in eCommerce and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) environments; entertainment, media, or subscription-based business models preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage staff in a collaborative, multicultural environment, with a track record of setting clear objectives and driving accountability.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels, functions, and geographies.
  • Extensive SAP expertise and familiarity with internet banking systems.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (lookups, pivot tables, large data reconciliations).
  • Familiarity with payment platforms and bank integration tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership experience with a track record of guiding teams and driving results
  • Extensive SAP experience and familiarity with internet banking systems
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data functions such as lookups and pivot tables, to reconcile large volumes of data
  • Familiarity with payment platforms and bank integration tools
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively

Required Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
