About The Role
Senior Formulation Scientist will be responsible for the formulation development for small and complex molecules, including controlled-release, liposomal, and spray-dried dispersions (SDD). This role requires deep expertise in oral and advanced formulation technologies. The scientist will evaluate innovative drug delivery approaches and support development from preclinical through late stage. This position collaborates closely with manufacturing and analytical teams to ensure successful technology transfer for GMP manufacturing.

What You'll Do Here

• Design and execute formulation development strategies to support preclinical through late-stage programs.

• Develop formulations for small and complex molecules, including controlled-release, liposomal, and SDDs.

• Manufacture small-scale R&D prototypes and support stability studies for formulation selection.

• Scale up and optimize processes for lead formulations.

• Prepare research reports and provide client updates.

• Conduct daily lab operations and maintain and upkeep equipment.

• Contribute to the creation and revision of SOPs, Master Files, Change Controls, and Investigations.

• Support material receipt and manage excipient inventory and ordering.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Ph.D. or MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences or in a related discipline

• Ph.D. with 0-1 years of experience or MS degree with 1-3 years of experience.

• Experience with amorphous dispersions and liposomal formulations is highly desirable.

• Proven organizational and time management skills.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of diligence.

• Strong presentation and communication abilities.

• Demonstrated interpersonal and facilitation skills.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.

• Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

• Familiarity with GMP guidelines and SOPs preferred.

• Solid understanding of Good Documentation Practices is required.
