Requirements
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Vice President – Financial Products to lead the design, development, and growth of our Loan Against Property (LAP) and SME lending portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial professional with deep expertise in secured lending, small business finance, and product lifecycle management. This is a senior leadership role that combines strategic thinking, analytical acumen, and operational excellence to drive sustainable growth and profitability across lending verticals.
You will be responsible for shaping product strategy, driving innovation, optimizing customer journeys, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and customer-centric lending solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Ownership:
Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for LAP and SME lending, from conceptualization and development to launch and continuous enhancement. Define and execute long-term product strategy in alignment with organizational goals. - P&L Management:
Own and manage the profit and loss (P&L) for LAP and SME portfolios, ensuring strong financial performance, optimal yields, and sustainable growth. - Market Research & Insights:
Conduct detailed market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer segmentation to identify emerging trends, customer pain points, and product differentiation opportunities. - Product Development & Execution:
Collaborate with credit, risk, legal, technology, and operations teams to design and deploy scalable lending products that meet regulatory standards and business objectives. - Policy & Process Design:
Develop and refine credit policies, underwriting frameworks, and pricing strategies to balance growth with risk management. Ensure robust and efficient customer onboarding and servicing processes. - Customer Experience:
Redefine and optimize customer journeys for SME and LAP products, ensuring a frictionless, transparent, and engaging experience from application to disbursal. - Leadership & Team Management:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Performance Monitoring:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including portfolio health, disbursal turnaround time, and customer satisfaction. Drive data-driven initiatives to enhance product performance and customer retention. - Strategic Collaboration:
Partner with senior leadership to align product roadmaps with the organization’s strategic objectives, investment priorities, and business expansion plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- 9–12 years of product management experience in financial services, specifically within LAP, SME, or secured lending segments.
- Proven track record in P&L management and driving portfolio growth.
- MBA from a Tier-1 business school is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of lending processes, credit frameworks, and regulatory landscape in the NBFC/banking sector.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
- Experience working with digital lending platforms, data analytics, and credit automation tools is an added advantage.
