- Responding to software, PC, or peripheral device (barcode scanners, label printers, etc.) issues in our manufacturing lines; troubleshoot and fix or escalate the issues as appropriate
- Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with our production, technician, and engineering staff
- Communicating, and coordinating when necessary, floor support activities and initiatives with our team in Beijing, China
- Documenting production support issues and procedures as needed to reduce rework and increase the knowledge of our team
- Interfacing with our local and corporate IT teams to resolve and escalate issues when appropriate
- Helping identify innovations that reduce the time or work associated with support tasks
- Helping implement large scale infrastructure projects (e.g. migration to Windows 11 is a recent example)
- Providing off-hours support as needed (infrequent)
You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You readily action new challenges, without unnecessary planning. - Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (MIS, IT, etc.) and minimum of two (2) years of experience OR Associates degree in business, IT, or related field and minimum of four (4) years of experience
- Proficiency with systems administration including setup, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting Microsoft operating systems, computer hardware and software on laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Basic knowledge of computer networking
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience troubleshooting problems at other levels of the IT stack (networking, PLCs, serial port communication, peripheral devices, software deployment tools, etc.)
- Experience using scripting languages to automate routine tasks
- Basic knowledge of programming languages
- Experience with Linux administration
- Experience with large-scale data backup and retrieval systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server administration
- Familiarity with Virtual Machine setup and administration
- Experience in technical or people leadership

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
