Ventus Solutions is seeking a skilled Technical Program Support to support an innovative program. The ideal candidate will work closely with Program Manager (PM) to support organization efforts. The candidate will assist in the initiation and execution of new programs and ongoing efforts across a diverse portfolio in computer networking, network security, and machine learning, especially in challenging environments such as disrupted, denied, intermittently-connected, and low-bandwidth (D-DIL) settings. Support includes technical program management, performer coordination, and technical assessment of research and development activities across both classified and unclassified environments. Required Experience:
- 5–7 years of recent experience in computer networks and network security, including design, analysis, and implementation.
- Hands-on programming and scripting proficiency (Python, C/C++, Bash) to conduct network simulations and emulations.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, Linux systems, and network simulation/emulation tools (ns-3, Mininet, CORE).
- Proven ability to conduct independent technical research and rapidly iterate on emerging concepts.
- Strong foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and prompt engineering as applied to network automation and resilience.
- Experience working within or alongside government R&D environments supporting multi-organization collaborations.
- Master’s degree or PhD candidacy in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Experience:
- Background in software-defined networking (SDN), programmable data planes, and traffic engineering.
- Prior exposure to disrupted, denied, intermittently-connected, and low-bandwidth (D-DIL) network environments.
- Experience supporting DARPA, DoD, or IC research programs, especially in network resilience or AI-enabled communications.
- Familiarity with cyber-resilient system design, simulation frameworks, and testbed environments.
- Understanding of research performer management, including technical evaluation, milestone tracking, and report synthesis.
- Demonstrated ability to translate advanced research concepts into actionable program objectives or funding proposals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing technical briefings, white papers, and program artifacts.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, and classified environments, balancing competing priorities while maintaining exceptional organization and professionalism.
