Position Summary
The Junior Portfolio Loan Analyst is an entry-level member of the Post Purchase team, supporting the accurate reporting and processing of portfolio loan activities. This role provides hands-on experience with investor reporting, remittance functions, and loan-level research while collaborating with internal partners across accounting, trading, sales, legal, compliance, and structured finance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and motivated to develop a strong foundation in loan operations and investor accounting.
This role offers the opportunity to gain foundational experience in loan portfolio management and investor reporting. Successful candidates will develop advanced technical skills, cross-functional knowledge, and a pathway toward mid- and senior-level roles within the Post Purchase team.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting investor accounting reports.
- Support the reconciliation of remittance reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Conduct initial research to help resolve discrepancies at the loan level.
- Monitor daily cash activity and assist with bank account reconciliations.
- Provide support on transactions related to loan purchases, sales, and transfers.
- Help prepare wire requests and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Maintain and update process checklists and documentation.
- Learn and apply loan administration concepts, including documentation, escrow, and servicing transfers.
- Collaborate with team members on projects and report to support department goals.
Required Experience, Skills, & Competencies
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field preferred (or relevant coursework/experience).
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in financial services, accounting, loan servicing, or a related internship.
- Exposure to investor reporting or loan processing is a plus but not required.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables preferred).
- Willingness to learn servicing systems such as SBO.net, Black Knight (BKFS), or Fiserv.

A reasonable estimate of the total compensation range for this role is $60,000-$80,0000. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
