ABOUT THE ROLE:
 

The Construction Scheduler Manager will plan and develop schedules for large-scale data center projects across Europe. This role involves working independently or in teams, managing local senior Schedulers/Planners, and defining scheduling processes for the Group. He/she will report to the Corporate Construction Planning Manager. 


 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Technical duties: 

  • Schedule projects using Primavera P6, developing timelines for infrastructure projects over €100 million.
  • Analyze project documents to identify impacts and opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain plans, networks, and resources for new and ongoing projects, enhancing efficiency.
  • Develop and uphold the baseline schedule with S-curves and reporting formats for clarity.
  • Create project-specific procedures, including the Work Breakdown Structure and progress measurement methods.
  • Prepare insightful reports on progress, critical paths, deviations, and forecasts.
  • Seamlessly integrate contract scope changes into relevant plans.
  • Foster strong communication and follow up on project activities to resolve issues quickly.
  • Provide timely reports on changes to planned progress.
  • Work with other Project Services disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Collect and analyze historical data for improved planning and forecasting.
  • Understand and Use Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Quantitative Schedule Risk Management.
  • Prepare and present Time-Impact Analyses (TIAs).
  • Review schedule narratives from stakeholders and provide constructive feedback.
  • Build relationships with clients through regular meetings and informative reports. 


Other important responsibilities: 

  • Improve schedule management processes at the Group level.  
  • Coordinate with local planners and ensure schedule consistency.   
  • Serve as the main contact for external customers regarding scheduling. 


IMS CERTIFICATION RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Comply with policies on health and safety, environmental standards, information security, and energy consumption. 


 

REQUIREMENTS: 

General & technical skills:

  • Education equal to a bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning engineering discipline. Long and relevant work experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
  • 8 - 12 years relevant planning experience. Advanced knowledge in key areas of plannings techniques and analysis and a good understanding of current good engineering practice. 
  • Ability to lead and function within a planning team and across multiple projects.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload.
  • Manage time, accordingly, manage changes within own remit on a project.  
  • Inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of program or budget.
  • Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English (engineering, construction.)
  • Solid analytical skills to collect and interpret data. 


IT skills: 

  • Proficient in P6 and all related modules.
  • Proficient in PRA or any other QSRA modelling software.
  • Skilled in Power BI & Ms Office.
