Job Description Summary
Organization's Summary Statement:Under direct supervision, functions as a lead worker for a team of groundskeepers performing manual labor duties in a variety of landscape maintenance tasks.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to work in adverse weather and temperature extremes and be free from debilitating pollen allergies and the like. The employee must have the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and on occasion up to 100 pounds; stand and walk continuously; lift, stoop, and/or bend for extended periods of time; wear and work with the use of personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, etc.). The shift hours are from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Position is Essential and is subject to 24 hour day/7 day week span of operation.
Preferences:
Desire and ability to become a Registered Maryland Pesticide Applicator.
Licenses/Certifications:
Must possess and maintain a valid Maryland Class C Driver’s License or equivalent with fewer than 6 pts.
