Shift: 3×12 Nights
Pay: $2,219.40/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Salem, VA. The PCU RN will provide specialized care for patients with complex medical conditions requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, patient-centered care to PCU patients.
• Monitor and promptly respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, recovery processes, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience (travel experience preferred).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional facility-required certifications as applicable).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and high-acuity patient care.
