The Ultrasound Repair Technician 2 plays a crucial role in ensuring ultrasound systems are cosmetically and functionally up to OEM standards. The primary role of the Ultrasound Repair Technician 2 is to identify repairs, both functionally and cosmetically, and identify/locate the parts to fix the unit. The Ultrasound Technician Repair 2 will ensure accuracy and the highest quality during part removal, including proper logging of parts in Salesforce. The Ultrasound Repair Technician 2 has the ability to repair ultrasound systems in house or on site with guidance from technical support if needed. The Ultrasound Repair Technician 2 has been trained on GE, Philips and Mindray ultrasound equipment.
Requirements
Job Duties:
- Follows and adheres to all Probo Medical and OSHA safety policies and regulations
- Performs and logs daily safety checks
- 100% ESD compliance when handling parts
- Resolves system issues by performing electronic and mechanical repairs where needed
- Installs software application programs
- Physically removes parts from imaging systems using a variety of tools and methods
- Properly identifies parts from systems using parts manuals, online resources, and historical system information
- Ensures all recoverable parts are properly removed and logged in Salesforce
- Performs secondary quality checks on repaired/tested parts
- Manages parts exchanges
- Ensures quality through proper removal
- Ability to disassemble and rebuild ultrasounds to properly remove/repair to OEM specifications
- Collaborate with other departments, regarding issues with equipment
- Ensures area is ready for audits, by maintaining the area to ISO 13485 Standards
- Provide onsite repairs when needed with guidance from technical support
Minimum Qualification:
- 1-3 years experience in mechanical/electrical environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with hand tools a must
- Prior experience working on ultrasound systems a must
- Basic computer skills and ability to read and understand part manuals
