Position and Responsibilities
As a member of the security team, you will provide security services to control access to and from the site for people and/or materials, to meet the requirements of the Nuclear Safety and Control Act and regulations.
You will perform routine patrols of the yard, buildings and controlled access areas; assist with emergency detection and response; monitor vehicles and materials being brought on and off site and perform administrative functions to support these and other related office/switchboard activities.
Site hours of operation require this position to work a 24-hour operation work schedule of 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- Security related diploma, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work within established procedures and safe work practices
- Excellent communication, problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential
- Familiarization with WHMIS
- Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR preferred
