Location: Brampton, ON
Employment Type: Casual / As Needed
Pay Range: $18.40 – $21.23/hour
Hours: Various shifts

About the Role

Paladin Security is hiring Casual Site Trained Security Guards to serve at the City of Brampton, including facilities such as the Rose Theatre, City Hall, Civic Centre, and other downtown Brampton locations.
These guards ensure the safety and security of public spaces, assets, and events while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a uniformed, visible, and proactive security presence
• Patrol interior and exterior areas and complete electronic guard tours
• Respond to and report all incidents of suspicious or criminal activity
• Provide access control, locking/unlocking of doors and offices
• Deter and enforce prohibited acts (loitering, smoking, panhandling, etc.)
• Monitor alarms and respond to emergencies calmly and effectively
• Write detailed incident and occurrence reports
• Handle lost & found items and maintain logs accurately
• Collaborate with emergency personnel including police, fire, and paramedics
• Provide customer service and ensure a safe environment for the public

Requirements

Qualifications / Must-Have Criteria

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
• Valid Ontario G/G2 Class Driver’s License with a 3-year clean abstract
• Minimum 2 years of security experience (municipal or corporate preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Must be flexible with 24/7 shift availability
• Able to meet physical demands (walking, standing, working in all weather conditions)
• Comfortable using two-way radios and computer applications
• Must complete all required site training within 30 days of hire
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have (Preferred)

• Previous experience in loss prevention or security
• Dispatch or mobile patrol experience
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
• CPO Certification (Paladin covers cost if completed within 6 months)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
