Delta Industries, Inc. is a trusted regional construction materials supplier. We need a Division Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for all ready-mix, aggregate sales and related operations within the operating division. This role ensures that production, sales, safety, maintenance, customer service and overall profit goals are consistently achieved in alignment with The DELTA Difference values of quality, integrity, and family-oriented culture. The Division Manager is accountable for financial performance, operational efficiency, compliance, and talent development across multiple plants and functions.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Operations, Sales, and Customer Service and support teams within the division.
  • Translate corporate strategy into divisional operational goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that supports employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.

Operations Management

  • Oversee all operations of the division, working through an Operations or Production Manager, ensuring consistent product quality, delivery performance, and yardage targets.
  • Engage the Operations and Dispatch teams to maximize fleet utilization and on-time delivery of concrete.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed for plants and rolling stock.
  • Monitor KPIs including production efficiency, cost per yard, truck turnaround, and customer satisfaction.

Sales & Customer Service

  • Lead and support the sales team in identifying and growing customer accounts within the division.
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and other stakeholders to ensure long-term loyalty.
  • Ensure the division meets or exceeds revenue and margin targets.

Safety, Compliance & Risk

  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular audits of safety practices within the division to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with company policy.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance for all operating facilities in the division.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the divisional budget, including production costs, staffing, fleet, and capital projects.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with corporate finance to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.

People & Talent Development

  • Conduct performance reviews and succession planning for all direct reports.
  • Work closely with HR to ensure proper staffing, training, and development programs are executed (including Delta Academy participation).
  • Support recruiting efforts for Delivery Professionals, Plant Managers, and other key positions.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in ready-mix concrete, construction materials, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-site operations with accountability for P&L.
  • Strong understanding of DOT/OSHA compliance, fleet safety, and production best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly across assigned division.
