Job Overview
The Overnight Administrator on Duty is responsible for monitoring and improving the services delivered to the children in the Residential Treatment Program during the overnight hours in order to ensure the delivery of safe, structured, enriching and individualized programs for each child in Residential care. The Overnight Administrator on Duty works under the direct supervision of the Director of Residential Services, and in collaboration with program staff to ensure proper implementation of TCI principles, the use of the Sanctuary Model, and to maintain fidelity to the Agency’s mission, vision and Core Values. The Administrator on Duty supervises and provides consultation, guidance, and hands-on support to agency personnel. The Overnight Administrator on Duty responds to potential crisis situations with rapid assessment, intervention, and support enabling Direct Support Professionals to respond and resolve the situation in a constructive manner. The Overnight Administrator on Duty is a member of the Residential Leadership Team and will work collaboratively with all departments.
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 10pm-7am
Essential Duties
Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assure that residents are always supervised by staff, based on their age and level, to assure everyone’s safety.
- Understand, reinforce, role-model and consistently use all TCI Training and techniques
- Have advanced knowledge of crisis assessment & intervention, and be available to staff as needed during emergency situations
- Respond to and/or delegate resources to support with high-risk situations requiring additional interventions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with local authorities, members of the community and all disciplines of the agency in a professional and timely manner.
- Participate actively in all aspects of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training Direct Care staff and Crisis Response staff.
- Consistently monitor staff performance in all job tasks, providing feedback, instruction, support, and/or disciplinary action as needed
- Develop a SELF-based assessment of each resident’s individual history, issues and needs, and communicate this assessment with all colleagues on the treatment team
- Train and orient new staff on all job tasks and responsibilities
- Submit reports that are concise and timely.
- Supports overall strategic plan of the organization.
- Transport staff and youth when necessary.
- Use the Detex system to consistently monitor night staff performance with scanning and provide feedback as needed to keep this consistent, and produce reports from the system.

Essential Qualifications
Key qualifications include:
- Master’s Degree: 2 years direct care w/children, Bachelor’s Degree: 3 years direct care w/children, Associates Degree: 5 years direct care w/children, OR High School Diploma or GED: 7 years direct care w/children
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent managerial and administrative skills required
- Knowledgeable of trauma informed care preferably in a residential setting
- A valid driver’s license in good standing for a minimum of 3 years
- The ability to maintain a driver’s license in good standing according to our policy is required
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
- Multi-lingual a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (in-service trainings are mandatory)
- Effective communication skills
- Must be flexible in provision to clients in terms of location of services, which may include, but is not limited to in agency facilities, the client’s home, the client’s community, the client’s school, another service provider, etc. as indicated by the nature of service and the client’s needs

- Candidates who are successfully hired, must participate in our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training which concludes with a written and verbal test, and you will be evaluated on conducting a proper physical restraint.
