JOB DESCRIPTION:
Deliver customized financial planning and retirement strategies to help individuals, business owners, and professionals achieve their financial goals.
Conduct annual and quarterly reviews of retirement plan administration while implementing client retention initiatives and managing strong, long-term client relationships.
Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and respond promptly to client inquiries regarding retirement plans.
Educate and advise plan participants through group sessions and one-on-one investment consultations.
Maintain a strong understanding of investment products, including equities, fixed income, cash, and alternative investments.
Offer expert consultation on plan design, administration, conversions, and employee education programs—while delivering exceptional client service.
Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through understanding client needs, cross-selling additional services, and capturing rollover opportunities.
Contribute to business growth by developing new client relationships and generating referrals.
Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Required for this position: Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills. Strong attention to detail, understanding of 401k plans, business development experience, advanced organizational skills, ability to work under deadlines, independent thinking, analytical skills, self-motivation, strong oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated teamwork.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 4 year college degree or related work experience
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
- Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion
- Industry certifications (QKA®, CFP®, etc.) preferred or willingness to obtain.
HOURS:
Regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Some overnight and day travel.
