The Janitorial Assistant Manager role includes, but is not limited to, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing a high-quality level of service, hiring and training employees, performing administrative tasks, maintaining profit margin, adhering to company policies and procedures, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with customer and group manager (operations manager where applicable)
- Conduct building inspections
- Ensure proper use of supplies and equipment through the training and development of supervisors and employees
- Be able to operate all types of cleaning machinery and equipment
- Recruit, hire, and orient employees
- Adhere to company guidelines for discipline and termination procedures
- Have working knowledge of budgets and contract specifications of the account
- May assist in the training of management trainees
- Be readily available 24 hours a day
- Set up files for each employee with the necessary forms and paperwork
- Manage and order supplies
- Turn in maintenance work orders
- Know the correct procedure for extra billing orders
- May assist with payroll processes
- Maintain equipment and supplies, schedule project work, and handle all assignments as designated by group manager (operations manager, where applicable)

Requirements:
- Valid driver license
Supervisory/Management Requirements:
- Indirectly leads or supervises individual(s) (e.g., only provides daily work direction, scheduling of tasks, etc.)
- Managers a project(s) without any direct reports (e.g., performs a project management role, delegates work, etc.)
- Manages a team with direct reports (e.g., full responsibility for hiring, terminations, salary changes, etc.)
- Has responsibility for subcontract or customer management.
- Travel between individual locals or facilities within designated assigned area is required daily. Travel to the corporate office and meeting areas for training will be determined by the Operations Manager, Executive members of management, and the HR department.
Experience (Minimum Requirements):
- 4 years’ management experience
- 5 years’ janitorial experience
