Our Business Development Representative Senior for Eastern Kentucky identifies and acquires new business partners for Commonwealth Credit Union. Business Partners are organizations within our field of membership to whom we can offer our financial products and services to, both at the company level and to their employees.
This role also involves fostering relationships with existing Business Partners by promoting membership benefits and ensuring ongoing engagement. This includes regular communication, strategic partner management, and the development of annual plans to drive partnership growth and deepen engagement.
This is a hybrid role with remote work flexibility.
The primary work location for this position is our Prestonsburg Branch at 550 N Lake Drive, Prestonsburg, KY.
The duties and responsibilities of a Business Development Representative Senior include, but are not limited to:
- Working with existing Business Partners to increase membership and product usage, along with cultivating new relationships established to meet financial objectives.
- Identifying and actively working to establish connections with prospective partners and community organizations.
- Actively participating in Business Partner activities and community events.
- Providing accurate documentation and tracking of activities to determine impact and success of efforts.
- Collaborating closely with community outreach representatives, branch managers, and regional managers to understand the needs of the branches and communities we serve.
- Keeping up to date on companies and commerce within the area and coordinating efforts with the team.
- Effectively planning, developing, and implementing Business Development activities to the highest standard to promote awareness of the credit union brand, utilizing excellent presentation skills, follow up skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills, follow up skills, and sales skills are required for this position.
This position is active in nature. It requires the lifting and/or carrying of materials, displays, and other objects (no more than 30 lbs.). Work locations will vary between an office setting and off-site events, which could be located outdoors. A certain degree of walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling will be necessary, especially during Business Development events. Operating credit union vehicles is a requirement of this role. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Availability to work at events scheduled for after hours and on weekends is a requirement of this role.
