Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Temple, Tx

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

 

Primary duties will include:

Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis

  • Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for the CFO, Executive Leadership, and the Board of Directors.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis on revenue, margins, expenses, and cash flow, identifying drivers and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor and analyze key balance sheet accounts (Cash, Inventory, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Capital Expenditures).
  • Provide real-time financial insights to the CFO and executive team, ensuring timely resolution of emerging issues.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the preparation of the annual budget and coordinate updates to rolling forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to project revenue, operating expenses, and cash flow.
  • Partner with department leaders to align budgets with strategic objectives and operational needs.
  • Support long-range planning and scenario modeling to evaluate future growth and risks.

Cash Flow & Treasury Support

  • Prepare and maintain cash flow reports and analyze key variances against plan.
  • Identify drivers of changes in working capital and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor covenant compliance and prepare reports for financial institutions as required.
  • Evaluate capital expenditures and provide ROI analysis to guide investment decisions.

KPI & Performance Management

  • Track and report on financial and operational KPIs across the business.
  • Develop dashboards to monitor trends, performance metrics, and efficiency indicators.
  • Identify root causes of performance shifts and work with leadership to develop corrective action plans.

Process Improvement & Strategic Support

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by streamlining financial processes and enhancing reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations to improve integration of ERP and BI/reporting systems.
  • Assist with documenting financial policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives, pricing, and cost optimization efforts.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or similar role.
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA credential.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

 

The essential physical & environmental requirements of the position are:

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to hear sounds and differentiate between them.
  • Ability to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision.
