Summary
As a Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst, you will support the development, optimization, and adherence to underwriting tools, documentation, and processes.
You will ensure efficiency, accuracy, and innovation within underwriting operations by leveraging technical skills, collaboration, and business acumen. Key outcomes include enhancing data analysis, improving process efficiency, and supporting team-wide strategic initiatives.
What you will do
Support and enhance underwriting tools (RDS, QT, GPS)
Maintain and update documentation to ensure compliance with business requirements
Analyze data using Excel, Power BI, VBA, PL/SQL, and Power Apps
Coordinate business requests and follow through to resolution
Collaborate with IT, Finance, Actuarial, and other internal teams to align underwriting practices with business goals
What You Bring
Post-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field.
1-3 years in group underwriting, insurance, or data analysis (internships or relevant academic experience are considered)
Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn advanced tools like Power BI.
Bilingualism (French and English) is required to meet business needs
The Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation would be an asset
