Position Overview

Sheldon ISD is seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-Time Custodian to join our team at the NEY Administration Building. The custodian will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces

• Empty trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed

• Maintain cleanliness of entryways and building exteriors immediately surrounding entrances

• Restock restrooms and supply areas with necessary materials

• Monitor and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor

• Assist with event or meeting room setup and breakdown as required

• Follow district safety protocols and procedures at all times

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous custodial or facility maintenance experience preferred but not required

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and reaching

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment
