Studio Art Director
The Studio Art Director is entrusted with delivering visually compelling and brand-enhancing photography and video content in collaboration with the Creative Director, overseeing projects from concept to completion. This role also encompasses maintaining established photography standards, supporting the production manager, and coordinating with the QC/post-production team to ensure effective asset management while upholding consistent, high-quality visual standards and specifications.
Essential Functions:
• Pre-Production Planning: Produce mood boards/inspiration as needed to guide the on-set team based on creative direction and strategy provided by Senior Leadership. Works with other creative team members, across multiple mediums, in the conceptualization process, beginning with the implementation stage and following through the delivery of the final product. Helping to build out model shot lists for photographers, describing actions and props. Provide room stylist insight into model wardrobe selection, while also directing Hair/Make-Up Artists on desired looks.
• On-Set Art Direction: Ensuring all photography (model/non-model) for stills and video meets brand standards by providing feedback and approving all images captured daily for Advertising Department.
• Post-Production Direction: Partner with QC/ Post-Production Team to ensure image handoffs are consistently meeting deadlines. Provides feedback to the QC/Post-Production Manager and approves final imagery prior to final upload to the DAM. Audits all image usage and ensures quality standards are being met. Gives feedback and direction to creative team members as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in an Art Director or related role.
• Experience working in the home fashion industry is preferred.
• Open communication, values keeping others informed, and ability to positively inspire teams to the highest levels of quality and performance.
• Complete fluency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, MS Office Suite.
• Flexible and able to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on need.
• Detail-oriented team player.
• On site; non-hybrid position.
