Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pick/Pack Hardware Specialist to join our team in a metal manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing metal products and hardware for shipment according to customer specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Use pick lists to accurately locate, select, and gather the correct products or hardware components from stored areas.
- Safely Package products using appropriate materials and methods to prevent damage or loss during shipment.
- Inspect parts and hardware for defects, ensuring that only high-quality products are shipped.
- Print and apply labels as required and complete any necessary paperwork or electronic records.
- Track stock levels, report shortages, and assist with restocking of stored areas as needed.
- Verify that all items listed on pick list are of the right part and quantity.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to company safety guidelines.
- Work closely with shipping, receiving, and production teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, maintaining cleanliness and organizing warehouse areas as needed.
- All other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be collaborative with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Must possess a sense of urgency.
- Experience in a metal fabrication environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to write and read in the English language
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime when needed.
- Must be able to continuously get off and on the forklifts and combi-lifts to move or organize material by hand
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Certifications in material handling helpful.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, particularly with metal products or hardware, is preferred.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced, environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, Lifting and walking.
- Noise levels and temperatures may vary based on plant conditions.
- Use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel toed footwear is required.
