The Position

Responsibilities include daily operational oversight of the department, including direct leadership of a team of Supervisors, a department Trainer, and direct or indirect leadership for Donation Coordinators (DC), Triage Coordinators (TC), and Donor Suitability Coordinators (DSC). Ensuring appropriate levels of staffing and support to maximize optimal outcomes for customers, partners and stakeholders. The position is also responsible for maximizing tissue donation through optimizing the referral, screening, authorization, logistics and Donor Risk Assessment Interview (DRAI) processes and managing and optimizing the organ referral process.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provides effective leadership and oversight for the Donor Services Supervisors and Donor Services Trainer which includes flexibility in scheduling to ensure onsite support for night and weekend staff.
  • Ensures appropriate levels of staffing for 24/7 operation as well as acting as a DC and/or TC on an as needed basis.
  • Prepares content and facilitates departmental meetings to discuss and align team with metrics and goals and build team cohesion and engagement.
  • Establish and communicate job responsibilities as well as employee performance expectations to assure mutual understanding of desired results. Conducts regular performance discussions and annual performance reviews.
  • Oversees and support the onboarding and continual training for the department working collaboratively with the Instructional Design department and Trainer.
  • Establishes and evaluates continuous improvement audit processes to drive accountability and excellence. Assists Director in follow-up with stakeholders, collaborators, and Donor Families in response to complaints or dissatisfaction with service.
  • Facilitates the implementation of performance excellence events and implementation of standard work.
  • Ensures operations are compliant with FDA, AATB, EBAA, and other regulatory agencies.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of Supervisory or Team Leader experience focused on customer service
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a 24/7 environment
  • Solid understanding of reporting and budgeting procedures.
  • Familiarity with OPO services and policies (preferred)
  • Ability to see the organizational goals as they relate to the “big picture”
